Lessons From the Judges (Joshua 1:1-2)

Continuing with the theme of “Lessons From the Old Testament”, Joshua is followed by the period of the judges. These “judges” didn’t work as judges as we would think today. They, instead of judging individuals as to their innocence or guilt, served to judge the opponents of the Israelites. Joshua challenges the people to follow God as He had delivered them into the Promised Land. The people accepted the challenge and did well for a while.
