Not all apostasy is bad. In fact, some apostasy is necessary to become a Christian as we need to change our lives when we accept and put on Christ. However, most of the time Apostasy is not a good thing. Many passages in the NT warn against going back into practices of Judaism; particularly circumcision. We are not immune to such today.
