Being relatively new to the congregation, Paul introduces himself. He begins the lesson talking about questions a new convert has: where am I going to worship, do I need a local congregation to worship with, I have faith but am not overly religious. In light of these, Paul wishes to speak to us about the necessity of the local church and why coming together isn’t for God’s need to be glorified but God’s gift to us.
