In 1 Cor 10, we read time and again about the Israelites sinning against God. Even after being freed from Egyptian bondage they sinned time after time against God in the Wilderness. Come to Gospel times and again they had become arrogant and placed their trust solely on being from the seed of Abraham. Time and again Jesus warned them about arrogance and pride yet they rejected the Messiah. It is in this context that we, as Christians, need to take heed.
