Rowdy invites us to look inward at ourselves and how we live in a toxic world. He means, by toxicity, the unhealthy interest in controversy, the demonization of others who disagree with us, an overall mean-spiritedness, lack of civility as a society, and selfishness. He wishes to use scriptures well-known to us to show how we might live in such an environment.
