Terry begins by mentioning that there are some in the church who believe preaching of the Old Testament should not occur but in reference. They believe that all that should be taught is that which is new and given by Christ and the Holy Spirit. Terry goes on to state that certainly we are under a new law which was given “once for all”; the superiority of the 2nd is so much better on so much better promises. However, he wishes us to understand that the Old Testament is also the Word of God as Hebrews 1 states and is profitable for our learning.
